You could fit more if you got a rack to store them vertically.Each shelf has foam padding.I added some cheap LED stick-up lights to help me see in the dark. The lock has a tubular key so it is rather secure.It also has two latching points so a pry bar attack will be hard.I went to the local locksmith to get a few more keys.Yes, 4 bucks each, but not bad!All in all a great deal for secure gun storage.
